Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration
The field of healthcare relies on its members working together to overcome obstacles and challenges and leadership to help guide them. The Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration (MBA-HCA) program is designed to help students cultivate leadership and management skills to face the business challenges that could arise in the healthcare industry. The healthcare administration degree is designed to help prepare future leaders with a foundation of business analysis and a specialization in healthcare administration competencies to better manage the unique challenges of healthcare and business management.
The healthcare administration program at the campuses is taught in a hybrid format. The hybrid format includes online coursework and on-campus sessions held one Saturday per course. This combines the independence of online study with the face-to-face aspects of campus classes.**
The following business programs at South University, the Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management, Master of Business Administration, and Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs ([ACBSP] 11520 West 119th Street; Overland Park, KS 66213; 913-339-9356; www.acbsp.org).

Admissions criteria for the Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration (MBA-HCA)
Graduate Admissions - Masters level
Prospective students are required to submit the following:
- Completion of application for admission
- Official transcripts for bachelor or graduate degree within 5 weeks of the class start date (refer to Conditional Acceptance). (All credentials earned outside the United States must be evaluated by a NACES or AICE-member credential evaluation service). Please speak with an admissions representative for more information.

Specific requirements for admission to classified graduate status are:
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- A 2.0 overall grade point average or higher on completed requirements for the baccalaureate degree, or an earned graduate degree from an accredited institution.
- Or South University Doctor of Pharmacy students with a Pharm.D cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher who are approved for concurrent enrollment in the MBA-HCA program are eligible to enroll in classes after completing 120 hours of coursework, i.e. after Pharmacy Quarter 4.
